Alpha Alpha is proud to recognize Andrea McSwain as our 2021 recipient of "Woman of Distinction."
Andrea serves as the First Vice President ('20-'22). She is a SPED teacher at Perry County High School.

Each chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society awards the Red Rose Award to a woman whose career advances the cause of education. Through leadership, this woman enables us to be better educators and students to be better learners. Alpha Alpha awards a woman each year in the biennium.

Shoeboxes for Indian Reservation & Petal Children's Task Force
Members of Alpha Alpha collected food and money for the Petal Children's Task Force. Members also created shoeboxes full of toiletries, school supplies, and toys for children on the Indian Reservation in New Mexico.
Welcome Bags for Perry County School District New Employees
Members of Alpha Alpha distributed Welcome "Goodie Bags" to new teachers at South Perry Elementary in Beaumont, MS.

Chapter Meetings
Meetings will be held on Saturdays at Perry County High School Cafeteria. Meetings will start at 10 AM and a Zoom option will be available:

December Social
Members enjoyed a Christmas Social on December 4, 2021 at the home of Beverly Hesterman. Activities included brunch & "dirty Santa."
Joint Luncheon
Alpha Alpha hosted the 2022 Joint Luncheon for Alpha Alpha, Alpha Beta, Alpha Gamma, and Alpha Rho on February 5, 2022 at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.
District Meeting
Members attended the Southern District Meeting on April 2, 2022 at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.
International Convention
Members are invited to attend the 2022 International Convention held in New Orleans, LA. The convention will be held on July 12-16, 2022.
